The conference series Theoretical Issues in Sign Language Research is targeted specifically at the linguistic study of signed languages. Its organisation is supported by SLLS to take place every three years.
The next meeting will be TISLR 10 in 2010, taking place in Indiana, USA; it will be organised by Diane Brentari and Ronnie Wilbur from Purdue University.
The 2013 conference will be organised by the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
